Review
of our week:
We
have had a really fun week. We have been
practicing for our program. It turned
out really nice. I was happy to see so
many of you there. We are still working
on story problems and will be starting on money. We have been doing some really fun writings
for our portfolios. It is so fun to see
the improvement they have made over the year. We only have a couple of weeks left. If you could still like to do a Family Fun
Day, please let me know. We had a great time on our field trip.
Animal
Reports:
I
have assigned each student an animal to do an oral report on. I have included all of the information. I
would like you to help your child write it a report form and not just answer
the questions. Please check the paper in
your child’s backpack, so you will know when your child is scheduled to do their
report. If you have any questions please
let me know. You are welcome to come and
watch.
Reading
Moms:
I
really wanted to thank all of you who have taken the time to come in and read
this year. I know it takes a lot of
time, but it really has made a big difference with helping our class learn how
to read this year. Next week will be the
last week to come in and read. Thanks
again for everything you have done this year.
Last
Book Order:
I
sent home the last book order. They will
be due back by Wednesday, May 7. There are a lot of really fun books in this
order. It would be a great way to get
your child come books they can read over the summer. You can order online or send it with your
child.
Field
Day and Field Trip:
I
could still use 1 more parent to help on Field Day if anybody is interested.
If
your child has not turned in their permission slip, I need it back on
Monday. Also, remember we will all be
eating school lunch, please pay the office.
Party:
Another
teacher told me gives her class a party when they have had 100% attendance for
25 days. I decided to do that. We started on November 1 and we only have 22
days of 100% attendance as of today. I
thought we would have it by Christmas.
If we earn it, we will do it the last week of school. I was thinking we would do some fun Minute to
Win it Games. It will probably be the
Thursday of the last week of school. I
would need a few parents to come in and help with that.
