Review of our week:

In math we finished our chapter on double-digit addition and subtraction.  Next week we will start measurement and telling time. I have been doing some assessing to mark on progress reports.

Progress Reports:

I will be sending them home next week.  I would really like you to look at these and see if there is anything your child could work on.  I did mark most of the students with a slash with their math facts.  They know how to do them, but they do not know the facts yet.  This is something they could all be working on.

Teacher Requests:

         There is a form on the school web site, if you would like to request a teacher for next year.  You will need to print this form, fill it out and bring it in to the office.  They will be excepting them for first 2 weeks in April.  Mr. Oldroyd will not accept them after April 15^th.

         We will start putting class lists together.  If you know your child is not going to be at our school next year please let me know and I will let the office know.  Thanks

Thanks:

         I just wanted to tell all of you thanks for everything you have done this year.  I appreciate all of your help and support.  It makes my job so much easier with your help.

     

FYI’s:

* If you would still like to do a Family Fun Day and we did schedule one, please let me know.  We might have to do one on a different day of the week, but we will get them all in. 

* I have included a paper called Take the Pizza Pledge.  You can fill this out as your child reads and take the paper in for a  free pizza from Papa Murphy’s.

Review of our week:

         In math we started a unit on double digit addition.  I think this chapter will go very quickly.  I have several who are still struggling with place value.  We will continue to spend time on that as well.  I have also been doing some assessing. We also wrote about what we would do if we were a leprechaun.

Flat Stanley:

         I have attached a letter explaining what we are doing with Flat Stanley, please make sure you read it and get me your address as soon as possible. Please pick somebody who will take him and do some fun things with him.  I thought it would be fun to send him before Easter.  This is one of the most fun activities we do. I will start sending them as soon as I have the address. You can even email the address to me.

FYI’s:

* Library on Thursday, please make sure your child has their books.

* There were a few of you who talked about doing a Family Fun, but didn’t schedule one.  If you would like to still do one, please get with me so we can schedule a time.
