Review
of our week:
We
have been doing some more fun Christmas things.
We filled out an application to
be one of Santa’s Elves, talked about Christmas in Australia (which is in the
summer), made gingerbread men and wrote letters to Santa. In math we are working on related facts.
Reading:
I
know this time of year gets really busy, but it is some important that you make
sure your child keeps reading the next couple of weeks. I really need you as
parents to help your child with their reading, so they can make the progress
they need to. At this point
they should be doing most of that 20 minutes of reading. If you would like some extra books for your
child to read on their independent reading level, please let me know.
F.Y.I’s
I
just wanted to thank all of you for everything you do for our class and
me. I won’t be sending home a newsletter
next week, so I hope you all have a Merry Christmas. Thanks to all the parents
who helped with gingerbread houses and sent things to decorate them.
