Mrs. Bali’s First Grade News

Review of our week:

         In math this week we are still working on Place Value.  We will be celebrating the 100^th day of school on Tuesday.  I can’t believe how fast it has gone.  We are doing really well with our informational texts.  The class loves learning about the different animals.

Reading Groups:

         This week we started some new reading groups.  Every day, except Wednesdays we will be doing reading groups with the Literacy Center, Mrs. Marriott and the First Grade Teachers.  We have split the first graders into groups and they are reading books or stories on or above their reading levels.  I am very excited about this and we will see some great progress.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
